Therapy for

Survivors, Queers, & Artists

You have spent a long time adapting to survive

You might be managing anxiety, people-pleasing, dissociation, perfectionism, shame, or relationships that leave you feeling unseen

Maybe you’re carrying trauma that still lives in your body, or you’re trying to understand yourself more deeply outside the expectations you grew up with

Therapy can be a place to untangle those stories and reconnect with who you actually are

What Kind of Therapy?

Evidence-Based

“Evidence-Based” therapy means that a method has been clinically studied and proven to provide relief to the symptoms that make us feel the most trapped. I use Eye-Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) which has been shown to be especially effective with relieving the effects of trauma. I have completed the basic level training from The EMDR Institute which allows me to provide this service. Interested in hearing how it can help you? Let’s chat about it in a free 15-minute consultation.

Exploratory

I will never claim to know you better than you know yourself. Instead, you and I get to explore together what patterns may be holding you back.

What are the systems that led you to where you are now? What beliefs structure your worldview? What makes a life worth living? These fundamental questions can make a profound impact when they’re finally given space enough to breathe.

Creative

Intimidated or bored by talking about what’s going on for you? Great news! We can do much more than talk - let’s use drawing, writing, collage, paint, movement, or any other kind of creative expression within our time together. At times, this might even be the most effective way to reach your goals, even if it doesn’t look like “conventional” talk therapy. I love bringing in expressive activities and welcome you to bring in your interests and passions.

It’s Great to Meet You

Elliana Wolnisty

LMFT #162636

I received my masters in Counseling Psychology and Drama Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies in 2022. For the last 5 years I've specialized in supporting people of all ages and identities through recovering from trauma - from single incidents to complex and lifelong harm.

Together, we might explore identity, relationships, grief, embodiment, intimacy, meaning, family dynamics, or the parts of yourself that have been hidden, rejected, or overworked for a long time. Let’s explore the patterns that helped you survive in the past and move towards the future you want for yourself.
